Unlike oil-filled units, a Dry Type Transformer uses epoxy resin and air for insulation instead of insulating oil. The sealed winding structure improves operational safety, reduces maintenance requirements, and ensures stable performance in indoor environments.

Three Types

What forms do GUANGBIAN's Dry Type Transformers usually take indoors?

Here's the breakdown:

1. Open Type

Windings stay exposed to air, no epoxy wrapping. Simple setup, fine for clean dry places. Honestly though, this type isn't common anymore. We maybe get one or two orders for it a year.

2. Cast Resin Type

Compact and widely used in commercial buildings. This is what we ship most often at GUANGBIAN. We take the open structure and cast epoxy resin over the windings and coils. Gives you real insulation. Most of our orders fall into this category.

3. Enclosed Type

Full sealed build. Same cast resin base, plus we add an enclosure around the Dry Type Transformer. Reaches IP43 protection - handles rough conditions without breaking a sweat.

Customization Capabilities

Over the years, Isolation Dry Type Transformers have been really popular with our overseas factory customers.

Customization is where we shine. Here's a case: we did a project in Saudi Arabia for a customer who needed isolation transformers. To make their wiring easier, we put two circuit breakers on the transformer enclosure - one on the input side, one on the output side. Left space for their incoming voltage and outgoing wires. What is a Pole Mounted Transformer?

A Pole Mounted Transformer is typically a single-phase distribution transformer installed on utility poles for overhead power distribution, used to step down medium or high voltage to low voltage for end users.

SWER System Solutions

Here's something specific we handle: the SWER system.

SWER works differently from regular power systems. It uses just one high-voltage phase wire for transmission — the ground itself acts as the return path for current. No neutral wire needed.

Because of this, our single-phase Pole Mounted Transformers for SWER applications come with a single winding and a single high-voltage connection column. That's it. Clean and simple.

For customers in lightning-prone areas, we've got you covered. We install high-voltage surge arresters right at the high-voltage terminal. No extra wiring needed on your end — just connect your line directly to the arrester and you're good to go.

How do we handle certification costs?

Two ways:

Option 1: If your custom order quantity is small, we charge the certification fee separately. Fair enough.

 If you order more of this model down the road, we refund that certification cost back to you.

Option 2： If you're placing a big one-time order where the profit covers the certification fee, GUANGBIAN can absorb that cost ourselves.
